Weekend plans: convert this area and these cinder blocks into an above ground planter box, doubling our current gardening space.
I can’t remember the last time I had French bread pizza. My life has gone off the rails.
My wife’s niece just returned from Tokyo and is flying to Berlin tomorrow. We had her over for dinner tonight to hear about her travels. It was bars, pubs, clubs, and a tattoo parlor. The first thing she said was that she needs to return because she didn’t see or do anything she had planned. I can safely say that the way she travels isn’t the way that I travel.
Somewhere in 2016 my Google+ feed flipped from being heavily Android and tech to being heavily politics.
We sat a few of our Halloween pumpkins in the soil sometime in December. One has collapsed in on itself and has sprouted while another has its bottom rotted out. We’re eager to see what comes next.
I found Deep-Fried Twinkies in the freezer section today. Worth buying once? Yes. Worth buying twice? No.
Operation: Other Pants: During 2015 and the first half of 2016 I lost a bunch of weight through diet and exercise. The wheels fell off of the weight loss cart towards the end of summer. Then the weight loss cart slid backwards downhill and got stuck in the parking lot of a donut shop. When I was at my lowest weight I bought pants and as I started gaining I grew too large for them.
Today’s plan is to load the dogs into the car and travel north on I-5 hoping to find a field of poppies for a photo shoot. While there are places that guarantee good flower shows they either don’t allow dogs, require a hike, or are too distant for a midday trip. If there are no pics by this evening you’ll know that I’ve failed to find a field.
We’re hosting our first game night of 2017 tonight. John Long requested Betrayal at House on the Hill. It’ll be the first time anyone at the game table will have played it. I think there’s a chance the non-gamers will demand something lighter.
I took the Christmas lights off the house today. Now I can sneer at the other three houses on the block that haven’t.
