I am one of those weird people who is not on Facebook, having closed my account there in mid-2013. I am also one of those people who will NEVER return to Facebook no matter what killer new features they add. They are an irredeemably loathsome company and I loathe them. I used Google+ as my primary social network from some time in 2012 until its closing in April 2019. When Google announced the closure of its social site there was a rapid mass migration to Facebook for most users. Those who didn’t bail out at the announcement worked to find some new social startup that we could move to as a group. That effort was fruitless. This blog, started at the close of Google+, is my approach to solving the problem of where do I make my new base on the internet. So far there is no social network that commands my attention like Google+ did. I am, therefore, spread across a few networks with my time being divided unevenly between them. I will always be found on this blog and its email account and I will sometimes be found at the social accounts listed below. If you see a “roytheodd” online there’s a really good chance that’s me.
